PLTU Cilacap

In history Karangkandri Cilacap coal plant broke ground since December 29, 2003 by PT Sumber Segara Primadaya (S2P) with Chenda Enginering of China with an investment of USD 510 Million. The power plant is located on land owned by the Army cocoon on the edge of the south coast and includes the Village area Karangkandri Kesugihan Cilacap district about 10 Km to the east of the center of Cilacap.

Karangkandri possess the power plant with a capacity of 2x300 MW coal fuel in the form of entry into the Java-Bali interconnection is regulated by the Central Channel Load distribution in Gandul, Cinere West Java. Karangkandri power plant began commercial operation since February 2006 for unit 1 and officially inaugurated its operation by SBY presided on November 2006 for unit 2 so kapsitasnya of 2x300 MW.

Now this plant is a plant Karangkandri Private owned PT Sumber Segara Primadaya which is a joint venture of PT Jawa Bali Power (a subsidiary of U.S. $) (49%) with PT Sumberenergi Sakti Prima (51%).
